It’s the first time since the 1996 Barcelona Games that a weightlifting event has won three medals.
In a recent interview with USA TODAY Sports, coach Chris Riddell explained why that’s a remarkable feat.
He has never had a team that had more gold medals than he has.
They’re going to do something special in Rio, he said.
The team was the best in the world and that was a huge motivation to go and compete.
The gold medals are great for us.
We’ve never been on a team as good as this.
But I think the biggest thing is the work ethic.
The fact that they’re doing this.
They are motivated.
They understand the magnitude of what they’re putting themselves through and what they have to do to be successful.
The last two years have been very different from the one we’ve had in the past.
Riddel said it’s all about the preparation and preparation and dedication.
It is about the mindset.
I have to say it’s a little different.
The intensity level is higher.
It doesn’t matter what we’re doing, the intensity level of training is higher, he added.
The weightlifting is always going to be high, but I think that the mindset has to be there.
You have to train the way that you want to train, Riddill said.
You have to work the way you want your body to work.
The athletes have to be consistent with their training.
That is what separates them from every other sport.
The Olympics have always been a huge opportunity for me.
I have a lot of pride in being a competitor.
I love competing.
And when I look back on the games, it has been a very good opportunity for a lot people.
We have seen what we’ve done and we’ve shown that we can do this.
